What is "herringbone"? It comes from the pattern that resembles the skeleton of a herring fish.(1) It is not a chevron, but is different in that the V pattern is reversed at the break, like a broken zig zag. Here is a classic example:

ReplyDeleteFabulous! All of it! As an owner of the herringbone Toms... These ones stretched easier than any of the other Toms I own... Absolutely darling, but i would err on the side of smaller if choosing between sizes!
