Gibbs is 75 lbs and 10 months old now. He loves to go with me and the hubs anytime he can hitch a ride, and he's (almost) perfectly behaved wherever we go. We are so proud of the young man he has become!
On our daily walks Gibbs has befriended the neighbors horses.
He loves our yard and is great at staying within bounds and not straying. Nicky is another matter altogether, he will dart off in an instant. I have rescued him from the Animal Shelter jail several times.
Here's his "brother" Nicky just after his bath.
In the evening a family of deer with triplets usually vault our fences. They are actually waiting to see if Willie leaves any grain in his bucket after dinner so they can grab the leftovers.
The Mr. and I worked on another all day landscape project today dividing Monkey Grass (the plant that keeps on giving!) and putting in a new bed around the shed and creating a border. It will fill in over time, as it has done all over our property. We still have more to do on the other side of the driveway, but Im going to wait til the ground is more soft. It was rock hard today and horrible to dig in.
Bethany was busy Saturday at a client's house working on a chair reupholster and supervising the tile install of marble over the brick fireplace surround. Lots of great things going on!
I hope your Sunday is restful and recuperative OR lots of fun!
Stay tuned for a GIVEAWAY on Tuesday!

Oh that Gibbs is such a handsome young man! What a darling and how nice that he is so well behaved! We are getting ready for the first day of school tomorrow! Can you believe how late we are going back this year?!!! Have a great Sunday!

Your landscaping looks fantastic. Ours needs a little love but I have no idea when that will happen. Today I am painting. Everything from walls, furniture and, of course, canvases.
ReplyDeleteI love to learn what is going on with your other people. Gibbs has really grown and is so beautiful. The property looks amazing, and the monkey grass reminds me so much of my mother. If it wasn't covered in ivy, it was covered with monkey grass. It is such a perfect border.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday, and tell Bethany to take it easy.
And the deer, precious.

Your furry friends are just so adorable! I love seeing Gibbs grow! Have fun gardening Nancy!
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet little doggies :)
ReplyDeleteGibbs has grown into such a (large) handsome young man. Gotta love Nicky's free spirit. I need to divide monkey grass, too. Today, we raked our acre lot of moss for fall seeding tomorrow. Stupid moss went crazy with all the rain this summer.
ReplyDeleteNancy your property is so beautiful! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWe don't get the deer that close to our home, you are lucky! Besides which, the other 4 legged creatures are gorgeous too:) Our lab, Cally, won't stray 10 feet from us...unless of course he thinks we are not looking; then he heads to the manure pile. Lovely, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting that our pups all have such different personalities. Some stray.. some stay.. Your property is so pretty Nancy. The horses, the dogs, the deer..lots of open space .. love that!
ReplyDeleteYour land looks so relaxing! Love monkey grass, except when it strays where I don't want it!
ReplyDeleteAwww... your babies are so sweet!! We love our fur babies too! We have a 45 pound white Labradoodle named Marilyn Monroe, and a four pound Chihuahua rescue named Phoebe. The big one and the little one! :)
