Guest Post : Master Bathroom Reveal!

Good morning!  Today we're happy to welcome our new blog friend, Charmaine, for our maiden guest-post revealing her new master bathroom renovation.

Hi Powell Brower readers!  I'm Charmaine from My Best Friend Craig and I am happy to be guest posting for Nancy while she is hard at work finishing her breakfast area for the Spring into Action Challenge.  Today, I want to share with you our most recent project.  Our master bath.

THE REVEAL:

Here it is, as promised...

Ta-da!

{We used 3x6 white subway tiles with black pencil trim.  The frameless shower screen is from ark showers.}

{We are glad we went with white grout.  It gives it a fresh and cleaner look.
The towel rack is from restoration hardware outlet.}

{The Madonna and child painting is by a local Filipino artist.  I found the lucite tray at an antique store here in Milwaukee.  The wall color is Stonington gray by Benjamin Moore.}

{We painted the existing vanity white and changed the hardware and countertop. The inset medicine cabinet and wall sconces are also from restoration hardware outlet.  I got them for 1/3 and 1/2  off the retail price, respectively}

{The white Carrara basketweave marble tile is from Oracle Tile and Stone through Amazon.
I made the pelmet box out of  pine board.  I got the "Sultana lattice" fabric from Calico corners'
remnant sale.}

Here's how it looked when we first saw the house...

and after...

{The room looks bigger now that the soffit is gone!}

What do you guys think?

-Charmaine

Such a fresh inspiration for those of us who need to redo our bathrooms, amazing what a whole lot of white and a little marble will do.  Thanks Charmaine for sharing this with us! You are one resourceful woman that we admire!

  10. Wow, that black pencil trim is really stunning! I love the "framing" effect it has on the room; it pops but it doesn't overpower the space. Cool idea! The bathroom sconces are new as well, I gather? Where did you get those from? They look great!
