Welcome to the continuing saga of my powder room re-do. I have had the walls and ceiling done for a while, but products on order took their sweet time coming in.
Here is the light fixture. I love how unpredictable and quirky it is. It is the Chord Pendant from CB2. I was surprised how long the rope is, but it invites creative play to see what configuration you can come up with for the length you want! I almost always use a ceiling medallion with every light installation-it just makes it look like every detail is attended to.
I am waiting for my Wisteria rustic oval mirror that has been on backorder for a month, praying it will come in on time!
My husband has made two wooden shelves for the walls, and I've got several rugs to try. This fabulous eBay find is one I love, but too thick to close the door! Hate when that happens. I'd have to shave 2" off the door and that's not happening. I will have no problem using it somewhere in my home!
Next on my list is pulling it altogether and accessorizing! The fun stuff!
Looking forward to seeing everyone's progress this week! Good luck with the final push! The One Room Challenge and the Linking Party reveals are next Wednesday and Thursday!
See you then!
Happy Halloween everyone!
Cute light fixture....I might have to check that out. Hope everything comes arrives in time:)
ReplyDeleteThe lighting is so unique, truly unexpected Nancy! The rug looks great, lots of colors to tie it in the space! Can't wait to see it all done next week!
ReplyDeleteI do love a touch of quirkiness in a space, something unexpected, and that light fixture has that indeed! Good luck pinning down a rug.
ReplyDeleteI love CB2 lighting. Very cool. That is such a shame about the rug. Crossing my fingers for the mirror!
ReplyDeleteI love the light against your walls!

ReplyDeleteSuch a tease! That light fixture is intriguing, can't wait to see the finale!
ReplyDeleteI love the light and the medallion you used. I hate when a rug is too high, too. And just like you, I would never cut the door down. I hope your mirror arrives. Good luck this week.
ReplyDeleteCute light!

Very clever pendant...can't wait to see the whole reveal!!
ReplyDeleteThat light is the coolest! I have the same problem with a rug in my bathroom. I just can't use one. You can always put a rug in there for the photos and then return it. We won't know you can't close the door and I won't tell anyone.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen that light, so fun to use in a powder room! Fingers crossed that your mirror arrives in time, and lucky you to have a handy husband! :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks so good!! Can't wait for the big reveal!
ReplyDeleteI'm using a similar light fixture in my son's room; I like the idea of knotting the cord. Great rug, too bad it doesn't work where you need it to--isn't that always the way it goes when you're on a deadline?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun light fixture and don't even get me started on the light fixture. Hope your mirror arrives in time and I hope you're not too stressed out about it.
ReplyDeleteThat light is so cool! I cannot wait to see the final reveal!!

The pendant looks fabulous and love that little rug! I'm sure you'll find a great place for it. Isn't it crazy how such a small space can take such a long time? I re-did a bathroom last year and it seemed to take all winter!
