Cozying up a Bertoia!

When Mom and I (and Kerry!) visited this year's DC Design House, I stopped and swooned for a good long minute at this leather Bertoia goodness in the sitting area of a bathroom done by Darlene Molnar.

After the Design House, I googled and googled this chair.  I was determined to make it mine. I love a good Bertoia chair as much as the next guy, but they've always been way too 'cold' to mix into my own aesthetic.  So the leather just about nailed it for me!

And, as if I'd come to expect anything less from good ole' Apartment Therapy, they just featured the DIY for this chair yesterday, as done by local interior designer Darlene Molnar!

Thank you Ms. Molnar. I'll need to get on this one, STAT.

  1. That is such a cool look. I wonder what else would work to weave in.

  2. That's so cool that Darlene added the leather herself. Last month my hard drive card (forgot the name) died in my macbook air so I lost all those photos from the design house. I was still planning to mine them for posts.
