Snake Charmer

If you haven't see this tape and the many tutorials out there you gotta try this cool snakeskin effect!

I had to order mine online from Home Depot, but let me tell you it is so sticky and is a little tricky getting it to behave.  Tip:  have a new single edge razor handy for sharp cuts.

I took an old wooden tray...

and started laying the tape down.  The handles were tough, but any 'patch' you have to add melds into the design.  The pattern is very 'forgiving'. It only took about an hour to complete.

Oh the possibilities! I am trying to think of what else I can charm! Furniture?

P.S.See us over at Ivy and Elephants!
