Weekend puppy update

I hope you all are having a great weekend. My daylilies are blooming so I want to pass their beauty on to you!

Gibbs is doing great this week after castration on Tuesday, poor guy.  He never even knew he had surgery, or stitches..life is as usual for lil' Gibbs. Weighing in at 62 lbs on the vet's scale he is really getting big, but is still the sweetest most loyal dog we know. The instructions say to keep him quiet for 10-14 days. Hah! That is impossible for a golden pup.

The rain this week helped to keep him inside and quiet although he is bored stiff. He got some new chew toys that he demolished already.  He helped me clean the pool today and enjoyed spending the whole day outside. ( He hasn't been back in the pool since last week's incident- our pool pump broke, so it is still green, but fixed and on it's way to clearing!)  Nicky sunned himself as well.

Have a great day, and we thank you for stopping by.  The winner of our candle giveaway will be announced Monday morning!

  1. Good boy, Gibbs! I had to laugh at our vet when we were told to keep Bruce "at rest and quiet"! He didn't miss a beat and didn't notice, either. Your day lilies are gorgeous, Nancy. Thanks for coming by- yes, I do believe we could be buddies. We'd have to start a play group for all the dogs. ;)
    Have a good week!

  2. Hi Nancy! Visited your blog after you found my blog! Thanks for leaving me a message. Love your blog and will read even more as time allows. I see you are a dog lover - me too! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  3. Yeah, keeping a golden quiet...that's real easy! ha ha... I guess the operation for the females is a little more traumatic. My poor Rosie had to wear one of those awful cones for a couple weeks. That was not fun for anyone! Glad to see that Gibbs is happy and unaffected by his surgery! Have a great week!
