Sometimes it's not all pretty

We are hunting and gathering and getting ready to do some installations in the next few weeks.  I love to shop, so I'm in the perfect profession.  My husband thanks my clients for letting me spend their money, and so do I!

There are canvases and tables to paint, chairs to assemble, lighting to install, this Ikea chair to hang.

Here's one of the clients rooms we are making over:

 With 2 long narrow dormers:

A closet makeover:

It started with this plan for the girls room:

and the plan was tweaked- alot.

It has been a blast.  Hey designers, where do you stash all the goodies while you wait for the install date? I use my guest room or our studio in the basement.

  1. Wow, that is a lot of "stuff". I never thought about the need to store it while you are waiting. It looks like it's going to be a fantastic reveal.

  3. OOOH looks like a fun project! My stuff gets stashed in my office making it typically look as though a tornado ripped thru!

  6. I keep all the stuff I buy and recycle it into staged homes. I'm de-staging a 5,000 sq. ft. house that sold Wednesday! I found a larger storage space this weekend. Lucky you! I shop, stage, and keep. The word 'Hoarder' comes to mind. That hanging chair is going make those girls lose their minds!

  7. Sometimes my guest bedroom, sometimes my enormous hot mess of a basement, and sometimes they don't even make it out of the car. Looking forward to seeing this space come to life!

  8. There is a lamp from my client in my car for 2 weeks now! :( Where else? Used to be the dining room until I tripped and fell one day. Now it is the guest room....on top of the bed.....that holds a lot!!! Scare to go in, haha.
