Do you swear by anything? I'd love to know your beauty routine!
The routine:
- Estee Lauder 'Idealist' Serum: changes the texture of your skin to feel like silk and minimize pores
- Avalon Organics 'Vitamin C' Milk Cleanser: wonderful scent and gentle on the face
- Avalon Organics 'Vitamin C' Moisturizing Lotion: Mehh. it's alright. I don't like day creams with sunscreen in them because I'm usually sensitive to it, and I'm a tad sensitive to this.
- Jo Malone 'White Jasmine and Mint' Body Wash: smells so light and fresh and is the perfect base for any perfume.
- Trader Joe's 'Ginger Almond' Soap: my husband loves it because it exfoliates, but I like that it's not too harsh and smells pleasant but not overpowering. I was formerly a Dove white soap kinda girl but this is nice.
- Burt's Bees 'Peach Willowbark' Pore Scrub: best cheapo exfoliator yet. Not as harsh as St. Ives apricot scrub (that myself and every 16 year old swears by because it's so strong you can feel your skin peeling off) but similar price and you can feel the beads working. Nothing worse than not being able to feel the grit.
- Estee Lauder Eye Repair: don't really know. Feels nice but I only use an eye cream because I think I should. Not because I've noticed a difference.
- Philosophy 'Purity': Mild enough for bedtime but strong enough to remove your mascara and eyeliner!
- La Mer: Worth.Every.Penny.

It's hard to take the time for a good routine. I always notice a difference when I do. Great products, I need to check out the ones I'm not familiar with.
ReplyDeletePhyllis, this is an awesome tip for me! I've been using BB foundation and it's not quite covering enough, so I will try your suggestions! I love YSL Touch E'clat for concealer, but game for trying yours as well. Love these tips!

Thanks for this post. I'm always curious what products others use. I like your choices! I'm going to have to check out La Mer...I keep hearing about it...is it really worth the money? thanks Bethany! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI so need a new face wash. I too have sensitive skin so I'll be checking back to see what everyone says. I recently started using Dior Instant Cleansing Water with Pure Lily extract and it's helped tremendously! I don't think I'll ever go without it!
ReplyDeleteI love L'Occitane products. Also, a bit of EVOO on my face before bed once in awhile is wonderfully soothing to my super dry skin.
ReplyDeleteWe guys are saving so much $$$ on beauty products :) The only products I use are Olay's moisturizer and Dove soap. Trader Joe's ginger almond soap....sounds nice.....will try! Love anything from TJ!!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I can see my face look more dull if I don't wash my face before bed. I don't want to sound like an ad but after ordering the products for my new shop I will say that One Love Organics is the BEST line of beauty products I"ve ever used. The waterless balm is my new moisturizer of choice.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to try some of these. I agree on the La Mer. I'm about out, and it will make me ill to restock, but I will! It's so worth it!
ReplyDeleteNancy! Great line-up!! I too love La Mer, but just can not justify the price with retirement and have found the Eucerin product from Paris to be wonderful. I hope you get a chance to read my last post on tried and true skin care products. I am always open to trying new products so love all the information I can get.
ReplyDeleteHere is the link to my skincare post if you would like to read it........
