As I take my walk on this snowy Saturday morning, I find myself lost in thought and pensive about what is really important in life. Alot of thoughts run through my brain,
(like what are those doomsday preppers doing now?)but I land on things Ive enjoyed over the holidays such as special moments, meals and outings with my family, my son-in-law and hubs making cookies, cozy gatherings (with 3 dogs & 3 cats) watching movies together...
trips to see the National Christmas tree, shopping in Georgetown, and a tour of art galleries in DC (here at the National Gallery of Art ).
Over lunch yesterday a dear friend shared a succinct quote that went something like this:
'Give up trying to make better the past.'
I've always maintained that we are given a fresh start with each new day, so make it count. Now we have a fresh new year upon us!
I have saved some of the best inspirations for living in my pinterest boards this year ( hasn't pinterest been amazing?) and this one about sums it up.
Best wishes for making your life more complete in all things important in 2013. Be kind, and nurture yourself and your loved ones.
Have a wonderful weekend.
