Trend Alert : Cantelope

I've seen a couple of rooms done in the colors cantelope, black and white lately and while I passed over these images not terribly turned on, a few minutes later it started to marinate in my brain.  I really like this scheme... I predict we'll see a lot more of it.  Or just cantelope in general.

  1. Cantelope is such a lovely pop of color in these pictures. I'm going on a color consult for a master bathroom and may recommend it. I had suggest the client consider 'something in the coral family' after our conversation. Cantelope may be the perfect color! Thanks Bethany

  5. I love that color. I have always associated it with bad '80s style but I am liking its current incarnations.

  9. I love cantelope...wish I had known to call it that when I was trying to explain my initial visions for the nursery to my husband. Whenever I said pinky-peach he looked concerned :)

  16. I love peaches, pinks and oranges when used as an accent. Our house was covered top to bottom in various shades of peach paint (even the garage and unfinished basement!) - looked like Pepto Bismo! But those gorgeous drapes in that Veranda photo?? Perfection.

  17. I like! And you know, Bethany, funny what you say about marinating in the ol' noggin, because I am absolutely convinced that's how trends get started. You see something just enough times that it becomes familiar. And familiarity = like.
