put a feather in your cap

Or on your head.

Everyone is lovin' the juju hats these days - we're seeing them everywhere!  While they've been around for years - an African headdress worn during tribal ceremonies,  their rich colors add a uniqueness to decor.

Initially they were a sign of prosperity.  Fitting, since you must prosper to afford one.   But I love how they add a textural element to a room!

Do you juju?

I love a good DIY and I'm SURE there are some to recreate these (and not the damn yarn DIYs).  Have you seen any legit recreations?

  2. I love these but I think I would be bothered when they got dusty. I am already sneezing just thinking about it.

  3. The DIY would not be hard. Finding affordable feathers would be the difficult part.

  4. I wonder if the pom pom tutorial would work, but just one sided. I am going to have to think about this! I love it!

  5. I think this could be totally doable. Every time I see one I think how much I love it. And then I immediately think how hard it would be to dust. :)

  6. LOVE that texture! I think I'd get tired of it, but an inexpensive diy would solve that - you're the girl Bethany!!

  14. Not sure why, but I've never been a huge fan of the juju. I do like the texture and pop of color they add, but they just don't "do it" for me.
