Art tour series, Part II Guess where this is?

Bethany and I in NYC at the wrong museum...see story below.

As part of my monthly art museum tour, this month I want to give you a challenge. It is hard to pick a museum from my photo archives because I am in love with so many of them.  Can you tell me what museums these images are from?

1.

2.   Do you know where George Washington, by Gilbert Stuart hangs?

A few years ago Bethany and I went to New York City for the day. Among the things we wanted to see was the MOMA, Museum of Modern Art.  We told the cabbie in our hair raising ride through the city, and he dropped us off at the door. We paid, we toured, so happy we were seeing the MOMA, but were wondering where all the modern art was... turns out we were at the MET, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and didn't even know it while we were there.  We got a good laugh and eye roll and spent the rest of the day cleansing our palettes with shopping in the Nolita district.

Hope you were able to recognize some or all of these museums! One of my goals is to see as many art museums  in different cities as I can in my lifetime...Stay tuned at the first of June for another art museum tour!

  9. That's such a funny story! I love museums. Did you get to the MOMA? While I love the MET, I can spend twice as long at the MOMA. It's also one of the best for taking children as there are always fun and interesting interactive exhibits.
