Remember when I said I was going to do episodic posts on dogs in decor? Yeah, that never happened. Lofty ideas and all. Our decorating motto has always been firmly planted in the belief that furry feet make the best accessories so I just love when they make a sneak appearance.
Do you have any pics of your pets in your decor that you'd like to share? We'd love to see 'em!!
Hmm As it turns out I do because everywhere I go the dog is not far behind. Never underestimate their loyalty.
ReplyDeleteWish I did, but this one you have here certainly is more beautiful because of that furry friend underneath. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm always cussing my dog for photo bombing my blog pictures! Guess I should embrace it :)
ReplyDeleteBethany, Pictures of rooms without cute kiddos, friends and family, or sweet pets doing their thing are these days- to me, the same as furniture show rooms. Lovely perhaps. But just a room of things. Its the glimpse of how a well crafted room comes to life as a platform for joyous living that draws me to blogs. I don't quite get the desire to edit out the "photo bombing pup" as having that kind of connection with your furry friend - where they just want to follow you around and share every moment, is just so wonderful. I never had to stage Beaver in my blog photos, he was just always where I was, and to me brought life to the room far better than a plant; I certainly never edited him out of photos but there were times I wish I had brushed him in the a.m. before the shooting began :) I think allowing Beaver to be seen in my blog photos conveyed much more about myself than I could have ever found the words to express. The few photos I've taken of rooms / projects these past few months without him are cold, sterile, and lifeless, just showing things and stuff. That to a large extent is why I haven't posted recently, trying to figure how to move forward. Recently I had a computer / blog crash and I've lost all my home posts / pics that included Beaver but I was able to find an image someone pinned ... I was taking pics of some bedding tips / ideas and turned around to turn on a light and of course when I looked at the bed, there he was (once again, should have brushed him that day) .... not an exciting pic but I could look at it all day: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/82753711875649329/
ReplyDeleteZoey has been in more pictures than I can count. Its almost like she knows when I need to take a picture of something and hops right in front.
