I am a yellow person, but I'm phasing out yellow walls at the moment. I will always have some intense yellow somewhere in my house or in my closet- no pastel yellows for me.
It wasn't in my top 5 either, but after having my living room decorated in this shade for 2 years in a row and my outdoor space too to boot, I have learned to love it. This summer though, I might go for a different color, we'll see, if yellow still has it's power over me! ;-)
Not a fan of yellow walls or yellow houses. This yellow isn't bad, more of a gold, but I wonder if you'd have to keep a few bushels of bananas and a supply of pears to pull the room together.
Not sure i could would have furniture in yellow but i do like to add pops of yellow in the spring and summer. A fun pillow or yellow flowers can warm up a room.
Hi Bethany AND Nancy! Nancy, thank you so much for coming to visit me today! You are so kind to comment on my attempt to talk about spring in a different way. But we all could have an "eternal spring" if I would just stop to be astonished at life even in the dead of winter.
Bethany, I am not a yellow person, but THIS photo does it for me! It's a color I normally would never use in my home or even wear, but against gray or with turquoise, it is GORGEOUS! Thank you for the beauty, Anita
I adore yellow! In fact, it is one of my favorite colors. That said, I only ever use it in accents. No upholstery, furniture or walls in the color for me. I have to have neutrals there. Still this yellow sofa is pretty dang fabulous! Camille
Yellow used to be a color I hated as a child but now I love it. It's such a vibrant and happy color. It's a perfect for layering and provides a good contrast against dark colored pieces/ dark walls.

I'm the same way! I could never use it as a wall color, but a little upholstered piece is a nice splash.
ReplyDeleteI do like a little touch of yellow here and there.
ReplyDeleteIf mixed with the right setting and other elements I think its fantastic!

ReplyDeleteI like golden yellow but any other shade is a little too happy for me. Is that terrible?? :)
ReplyDeleteI love it, but in small doses. I have touches of it in my master bedroom and living room. Red and orange are the ones I steer clear of.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan but I love that image above!
ReplyDeleteYellow is not in my tops either. It's a color I take in small doses.

ReplyDeleteI've always loved yellow and find it so surprising when people don't. It's the most cheerful color! I love yellow flowers especially.
ReplyDeleteI have a yellow kitchen and love it! My kitchen is on the back of the house and tends to be dark. The yellow brightens it and makes me happy!

ReplyDeleteIt's my son's favorite color. I also reminds me of Chevy Chase when he would answer the phone "yellow".

I love yellow...in small doses.
ReplyDeleteI like yellow as long as it is not in my house! haha I love yellow roses, does that count? I can't wear yellow, either.
ReplyDeleteThe only yellow I adore is a yellow lab. I don't wear yellow or have it my house or garden, but I love gold. Crazy, no?
