Two weeks ago we met with Gwen who had just moved to a condo and wanted help decorating. She and her husband like to go to estate sales and look on Craigslist for vintage finds but it wasn't coming together on her own, so she called us. Prior to our consultation she identified her style as Mid Century Modern, cut out magazine clippings of room ideas for us and filled out our questionnaire- an "A+" on her homework! Our e board design seemed a perfect fit so she hired us to come up with a plan to execute on her own. Sunday we gave her two plans.
The large room has alot of natural light, a gorgeous tray ceiling and multiple task areas in need of storage solutions. Remember Bethany's Swiss Army Knife Room post about the multi-functional woman cave? This is it.
When we met with Gwen, our reason to be doing what we love was validated. She absolutely loved both plans and is super excited to get started. She now has a roadmap of how to pull her room together and can't wait to get started!
Here was a rendering I did for her new room.
P.S. Thank you for your patience while we go through comment surgery with our new blog design. We will removing Disqus soon and hopefully you will find it easier to give us feedback. We appreciate your emails and your support so very much!
Nice plan! I would choose the first one but they are both lovely.
ReplyDeleteBoth plans are winners for sure but I think the second one is my favorite. :)
ReplyDeleteI love both of them! I dual purpose rooms too.

ReplyDeleteI am in love with that bench/chaise/settee?? It is such a versatile piece. Where is it from? BTW both of the board are great, i can see why she loved it so much!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Gwen - both are beautiful and really tough choices!!!! I love the first one more even though blue is my fave! Hope she shares the picture of the finished room to us! So excited!
ReplyDeleteLove that hit of Hex pattern in the second board, and your sketch is practically frame-able! Nice work!

ReplyDeleteYou should do renderings - your image is amazing. Love both rooms, but I'm such a fan of a sputnik fixture, I'd have to have that in the second image!!

ReplyDeleteOh, it's so hard to choose! I love orange but the blue room looks great too. Great rendering, Nancy! Love the daybed as well.

The design is totally magnificent in every angle. I simply love the extreme makeover you’re planning. I really wish it’ll be a success. The furniture setup is likewise hip to fit the entire decoration. I’m very well impressed. Keep it up. Thanks a lot for sharing your designs. I’ve learned too much.
ReplyDeleteIndeed lovely.
