As you can see, this room needs to accomodate lots of activities. So in researching floor plans, I saw some really neat multi purpose rooms.
Kitchens doubling as libraries:
A loft functioning as a guest room:
And an office, play area and bedroom in one!
Do you have a multi-purpose room in your home? I sure do! My living room combos as my dining room and kitchen. One room living for this couple!
Happy Weekend!

My dad will be so proud to hear me say this, but I think every room should double as a library. I have that kitchen image ready to recreate in our new house.
ReplyDeleteMy family room is also the playroom and has the vestibule entry from the garage.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a fun project for you two!
I actually made a mistake in my dining room. I should have designed it to function as a library, too. It never gets used.
ReplyDelete"Swiss Army knife room" - love it!
ReplyDeleteEver since we bought our piano, our living room has become the living/music room and is used so much more! We sit in there and listen to my son play the piano and we also hang out in there and read much more now. It's funny how adding one simple thing can bring more life to a room!

Since blogging my dining room has unintentionally turned into a project room - nothing to be proud of! :) Happy weekend, girls!
ReplyDeleteI love having a room (studio) to do all of my work, and I would love to have a room like this!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday.

Hmm, I would say my garage doubles as my workshop but you don't really want to see pictures of that. I know you ladies will come up with something fab for your new client. Have a wonderful weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that kitchen/library! Have a great weekend, B!
ReplyDeleteDoes it count that my unfinished basement is my laundry, workout, office, junk, storage room?? I love going into Ikea and stepping into the little 300 square foot spaces and seeing all they can cram in!! Happy Friday! xo
ReplyDeleteIt's a great space. I would take out the "bed" and have a sofa/day bed. This challenge looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteI've lived in a couple of small spaces in my life and actually thought it was kind of fun. Brings back good memories of making a tent real cute.
ReplyDeleteI live a small home and almost every space is multi-functional. I used to grouse about it but I now realize it is so much more efficient than having rooms that are only used for occasions.
ReplyDeleteBest description of a room. And when you live in a 'cozy' home like we do, every room doubles as something! :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you come up with for this space! Don't have a combo room now, but used to have an office/guest room combo room. :-)
ReplyDeleteThose library ideas! Finally--some ideas for where I could put all my extra books that I had to lock away in storage. I'm very much looking forward to bringing them out!
