In a recent trip to Target it is always fun to see what is up in the décor isles. I haven't been in months and there are so many new things! There are lots of brass accents, which we love, and such cute designs that mimic high end designer items.
Of course when I see pillows that were once hundreds of dollars, custom made exclusively a few years ago, now costing $16.99- that kind of kills it for me personally {Any other designers feel this way?} But to the average, non design-obsessed, new-to-the-party homeowner, they may be just the ticket for a stylish update. We admit to loving a few Target accessories to mix in with more exclusive items for the perfect HI-LOW look.
We have to remember that while we see these fashionable trends in stores, many client prospects do not SEE what we see, nor can they envision them used in their homes. The key on our part is editing and curating, a valuable service to many.
The hot colors trending right now at Target are magenta,gold, navy, citron, mixed with brass, mixed metals, and natural wood elements. These striped pillows with an embroidered lobster are darling!
