Guest Post: Powell Brower Interiors

I’m going to be a bit under water with work for the next couple weeks, so I’m pleased to have some talented guest posters show us their stuff in the meantime. Let’s start out with the Manassas, VA mother-daughter team of Nancy Powell and Bethany Brower of Powell Brower Interiors.

My daughter bought her first home, a 1000 square-foot cottage, four years ago. It became our design lab— and one of our first whole-house projects. We DIY’d and designed the entire house together, from making our own stencil for the hallway, to building headboards (she changed her master bedroom headboard three times). We had a ball, loved getting our hands dirty and experimented with lighting, dark colors, and eclectic decor.

Thank you for having us Jennifer. DC by Design is the DC blog in the know and she always brings us the latest in the design field- we are so honored. 

 It is fun and sad to see Bethany's finished cottage now that she has moved! On to a blank canvas and new adventures!
