Is it me or are sconces upping their games lately? We have been scouting sconces for a few current projects and there are some majorly affordable options out there. But don't let their small pricetag fool you. They may be less expensive than their big brother, the chandelier, but if you aren't wired for sconces, putting them in in new places is going to cost you! We love lighting, dare I say more than most other decor components, but adding light where there is not is no cheap game. It does make all the difference in the world if you can swing it though.
Here are some of our current favorite affordable options, to help ease the installation and wiring burden (some are plug-in!):
left to right : rope sconce | accordian sconce | contemporary white sconce | green sconce | blue sconce | white alien sconce | black 'mantis' sconce
I have been searching for areas to add some nice sconces. They are totally upping their game.
ReplyDeleteLove the ones you picked.
I saw some cool ones at Crate and Barrel...that I see on this list:) Hope you are having a great summer:)
ReplyDeleteI have the green one(s) hanging in my kid's bathroom. Love the personality it brings to the space.
ReplyDeletegreat collection by the way :)
ReplyDeletebut the blue one is awesome!
ReplyDeleteSome of these look like they're plug-ins so no electrician needed. Where's that accordion one from? Love that!
ReplyDeleteNever mind. Found it at Crate & Barrel.
DeleteGreat options for sure!
ReplyDeleteI think sconces are upping their game! I love your picks!
ReplyDeleteSconces are my very fave. I just got the most adorable IKEA plug in sconce for only $20! I am obsessed!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree. I have been noticing a lot more sconces in decor these days and am still trying to find a cheap one. I just bought one at IKEA but didn't notice the black chord. It doesn't quite fit with my decor. I should have bought what Tiffany did - hers is really cute from IKEA!

I love sconces and they add such a nice detail to a space or bookshelf side table etc!
ReplyDeleteI adore sconce and am getting ready to source some myself!!
ReplyDeleteI agree, the wiring costs a lot, so making the commitment to add lighting on the wall should be well-placed & well-thought of for sure!
