Making an Entrance

I get obsessed with a vignette or 'look' I see online; see above. Man, do I want this entry in my next home! I already have the rug so this could be an easy job.

A mirror looks great sitting against the wall on the chest (note - this beauty was not much more than the silver version at Ikea!).  Adding an ornate chair would emulate the look of the beautiful vintage door in the inspiration pic. Books, baskets and vases all round of the old-world lived-in look.

BTW - I forgot to mention that Saturday was my lovely mother's birthday. I wanted to put up a nice tribute honoring her mominess but we had an action-packed weekend and time got away. To you Mom - for the millions of breaths you've breathed into my life, from the very start until now! I wish you the happiest of years ahead.  I wouldn't want to do any of this without you.

  9. I adore, adore, adore this entrance and think it's very clever of you to insert the chair to emulate the feel Spanish entry! All that white mixed with honey toned wood just makes my heart go pitter patter. I had never noticed before, until you made me look further, that they're curtains behind the door!

  11. I want that rug. I'd say it's a great "pop of color" but I hate that phrase.

  13. Bethany my favorite images to pin are on my Enchanting Entryways and Fabulous Foyers, and this just went on the board. In combination with the front door, how cool!

  17. Love this look Bethanny! Your inspiration photo and mood board has me wondering if I might need an overdyed rug under my dining room table. Hope Nancy had a good birthday - such a sweet note from you!
