Madera Home

Are you familiar with Madera Home?  They are an amazing company of artists and wood craftsmen out of Los Angeles, that I became familiar with before I went to High Point Market, and then to see them at market was an added bonus! They are passionate and genuine folks!  They design and craft furniture from reclaimed elm wood that they find from old temple elm and unused furnishings that are 100-300 years old. The woodworkers put all the wood through a reclamation process often undergoing 20-30 processes to ensure a seamless finish on the old wood, made into new pieces.

I had the pleasure of visiting them at High Point and truly love their old world craftsmanship with a modern day aesthetic.  They have been kind enough to offer us a piece to review and it came today.  I cannot tell you how pleased I am with this Marmara table (the current version is the Anna Blue Table now on sale) and how heavy, beautifully carved and finished it is.

Here it is in my sunroom, but honestly I can use it anywhere in my house, since you all know I use alot of blue!

Here is a close-up of the carved detail, and a better true shot of the cobalt color.

Their collection includes live edge pieces, metallic and painted pieces, antiques, carved panels, screens, upholstered pieces and so many more.  Here are some photos I took at their showroom at High Point.

There was another surprise in the box that came today... this antique carving.

"These ornate and beautiful antique carvings have been rescued from Opium beds, old buildings and temples that have fallen into disrepair or are slated to be demolished. Each is unique and has been carefully restored, with variable sizes, shapes and designs, the possibilities for your decor are endless."

Here are just hints of other beauties in the line:

Don't take my word for it, go look for yourself. Every piece has a story deep within the ancient wood that is used.
I use Asian accents in all my decor and I believe they add a timeless and collected element to 'round out' any style.  Bookmark  Madera Home as a trusted design source!

Thank you so much Madera Home for your generous gift that will be a favorite addition to my home for years to come.
