We had the best time visiting with our blogger friend Kim Macumber and her darling daughter, Erin last night. She stopped overnight to sight see in DC on her way to take her eldest to college at Auburn. This was a spectacular treat for us, as we met them for drinks and dinner and chatted our heads off for half the night.
It started with this - now is this any indication of the personalities involved?
We went to the W hotel to their Point of View bar for a drink and overlooked the White House and points of interest in DC. It was beautiful.
The hotel welcomed my Bethany royally....how did they know she has no limits to her success! No, this is for Bethenny Frenkel who was at the hotel for a media event.
The beautiful landscape in DC never ceases to amaze me.
Then we headed across town to a spanish tapas restaurant, Jaleo, where we dined and chatted al fresco for hours.
We honestly felt like we were long lost friends who hadn't seen each other in years. It was great catching up in person and meeting the women behind the blog. We shared uncensored stories about clients and business tips and never stopped talking and laughing for over 4 hours.
Thank you so much Kim and Erin for stopping in DC and sharing your evening with us. It was one we won't forget and will be repeated!
We all said how energizing and inspiring this was as bloggers to connect with our online community at a different level; a meeting that would never had happened had we not started design blogs!
I hope each of you gets to meet with fellow bloggers from time to time, it really makes us feel blessed.
What a fun evening. I am going to guess that Kim had the pink pedicure, Nancy had the dark color, Bethany had the neutral tone and Callie had blue?
