I happened upon the site youartme.com that has some interesting artists and concepts. It is another forum and cooperative for artists all over the world to market their products like original furniture, lighting and fine art.
One artist that caught my eye is the Portugal painter Martinho Dias. His collages and paintings are so gorgeous. I love the colors and the abstract quality, yet recognizable subjects. These editorial pieces are like documentaries and make such a huge statement.

Another great painting is this equestrian by Heli Garcia. Do you think my attraction has anything to do with being a painting of a horse?? Of course it does! But wouldn't it look fabulous in a study with dark charcoal walls, black & white furnishings and saddle brown leather accents?

Of course it would be nice if we could all afford originals but reproductions and posters are available through this site as well. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteI like the thought of mixing originals in with prints for a nice balance of art. Sometimes we just can't afford an original Picasso that we love!
