lol. this is hilarious! I gotta show him that coffee table. Also if the dear husband was decorating there would be lots of Redskins themed décor and large leather sofas with built in cup holders... :) gotta love it. or not. mostly not. :)
My MIL said if my fiancé, now husband of 38 years, had been a decorator his room would look like a well-traveled (he loves maps) monk's (a bit austere). He would have never gone the juvenile route. I, on the other hand, still regret a bit that I didn't have my 1966 Mustang smashed into a coffee table after it was totaled and am using Gladiator tool boxes in my kitchen island.
Funny! My husband would keep the house exactly as he bought it. If it works there is no reason to change it. (I like the Supporo light. I've always appreciated the design of the can--and the beer, too!)
This is such a fun post! Although I would never pick these for my own decor, at least they are "cool" in some way. The way my husband would have decorated his place? He would get everything from Walmart and garage sales and call it a day! LOL.
hahahaha!!!!! You made my day!!! My husband would actually want those gigantic TV (like ones found outside cruise ships?!) on our huge 20 ft. wall beside the fireplace!!!!!!! A big N-O, for me!
If my husband were a decorator I'd have more brown puffy sofas ... which I still am trying to eradicate from my home!! Otherwise, he's pretty awesome!! xo
Oh my gosh...this is by far the most hilarious post I have ever read. I have to say my own husband does not fall into this catagory because he was trained by his mother, his work and slightly me...but oh boy...have I encountered this in my work...what a great idea for a post!!!
My husband actually has pretty good taste, honed by years of living and shopping with me. When we met, he was living in a house with country blue walls and lace curtains, courtesy of his ex. (I fixed that dreadful situation tout de suite.)
powell brower at home is the interior design sketchpad for frequent redecorators nancy powell and bethany brower, the designing women behind the northern virginia design firm, powell brower interiors.
No, he would not. As much as he might like the beer can light fixture, he would know I would NOT. : )
ReplyDeleteHaha totally!!

ReplyDeleteI shudder to think what my husband would choose!
ReplyDeleteFunny! Luckily my husband has reasonable taste. He leans a bit too far into matchy-matchy territory but he would never opt for beer can lights.
ReplyDeletehilarious!
ReplyDeleteEw those stairs!

ReplyDeleteI think my sister would actually like those beer can lights. I'll e-mail her the photo and see what she says.

ReplyDeleteOMG, hilarious! I think if my husband lived alone he'd be living in a great big, beige apartment with whatever furniture someone told him to buy:))

ReplyDeleteHaha hilarious! If my husband was a decorator, every piece of furniture would be overstuffed and leather.
ReplyDeleteTo funny...mine would have bicycles hanging all over or surfboards!
