When you find a good thing, pass it on!

Have you all seen this amazing DODECAHEDRON DIY light fixture? Kelly and her hubby at View Along the Way have done some amazing lighting DIY's that are worth checking out. Of course he seems to be a wiz with the electrical stuff which helps, but I have always wanted to make my own lighting, and his tutorials are pretty easy.

I'm thinking this is pretty tricky cutting 30 pieces of wood at perfect faceted angles, so  it may not be for me,   it definitely is not for me, but...

what a testament to these kids for trying it, AND the big news is they sell these now in their shop for $139.00, although currently there's a wait list.

They also show us how to make any lamp cordless by attaching a battery pack and flexible LED string lights inside the shade, but seeing how I leave my lights on all day everyday, I'm not sure if I'd want to change my batteries all the time, but the fact that there is NO CORD is huge!  This couple is really skilled and their step by step instructions are so clear and understandable. (plus their source links). Hop on over and meet Kelly, she is funny, engaging and very talented!
