slow down youre moving too fast...

... you've got to make the morning last.

I'm thinking of these Simon and Garfunkel lyrics in reference to all the Christmas advertising, buying and decorating going on.  Before all the craziness begins I'd like to still savor it all slowly and take time to enjoy the journey to Christmas.  As I remember each year when I'm disappointed when it is all over way too fast, it is the journey that is the most fun!

Happy journey to Christmas everyone!
It is all about family, friends and beauty, love, sharing and giving ...

Enjoy your countdown to Christmas!

  1. Truer words have never been spoken. Christmas ads have been on the air since earlier this month! I can't deal. Here's the savoring the meaning and the moment and some quality time with friends and family.

  2. Yes, Yes, Yes! I don't get caught up in it much. I love all the decorations, but if people can't take them down until Father's Day...YES, neighbor across the street from my home, I am talking about you! Please don't put up decorations that will become very sad looking later. Live in the moment.

  3. So, so, so true! This is one of those years. Where did 2012 go?
I am going to try and take it slow during December, allotting only a short day for work.
    Happy Thursday.

  5. I 100% agree with you! Christmas is my FAVORITE time of year, but its the actual planning and decorating thats leads up to Christmas morning thats my favorite. Christmas morning I'm always kinda sad its all over!

I'm going to freeze time and enjoy every second this Christmas season!

  9. It's so true, thanks for the reminder. Normally I am rushing at the last minute to get everything done, but this year I've started shopping and planning earlier so I can enjoy the Holiday more. These pictures are all so pretty!

  10. Lovely post, but I say, bring it on. This year I welcome the craziness. For the past 11 years I've decorated other peoples homes for the Holidays, this its the first time I get to enjoy the build up to Christmas without pulling pine needles out of my hair. Now all we'll need is snow!
