Her dilemma was how to make her apartment jazzed up with finishes and furnishings so she didn't have to paint the walls. She loves color and stripes and wanted to see if we could do two different looks - one with a bit more of a boho edge and the other more girly. Our client is single and at the point in her life/career that she's ready to make some investments in better pieces, but we did need to incorporate the near-white sofa and slipper chairs that she already has.
Here's what we suggested:
She asked us to put the designs up and ask you, dear readers, what you prefer. She likes both and can't decide!
Which do YOU like?

I think I like the first one. It will be perfect for years to come, and I love the pink. Either way, I think the room will be beautiful, as you know I love orange too.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday, Bethany and Nancy.

Either one! I am drawn to the boho look ... Isn't it AMAZING how a rug can change up a room? Lucky Lady! xo
ReplyDeleteAnything with pink in it gets my vote. I love the first one but I would swap out the coffee table for the gorgeous ottoman in #2.
ReplyDeleteThe first one. Absolutely. It's boho girly so best of both worlds. The other is more worldly in my opinion and more like what she might have after she's living with a man with an opinion. Get the pink rug while you still can for crying out loud! It's much easier to incorporate these things later if you already own them :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE your answer here! Great justification!
DeleteI love both but lean towards the first. The beauty of what you have pulled together for her is the flexibility of all of the pieces. She should choose a rug she loves and then everything will come together from there. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for the first one. Love the pink with the boldness of those drapes!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the first, but with a few more colorful pillows on the couch! Nice mix on both though!
ReplyDeletePink all the way for me, love the leopard x bench in both. You can never go wrong with neutrals for your basic pieces - so easy to create a new look with a couple accessories!
ReplyDeleteYEAH!!!!
ReplyDeletegirl power!
i need some of that!

I love the first one as well! Especially those lamps!!! Awesome job. I would add some leopard print pillows on the couch, or maybe a nice colorful ikat. Also, I think that the coffee table is just a touch too rustic. Love the ottoman in number 2!
ReplyDeleteI love orange but I'm liking the first one as well! Chic and sophisticated!
ReplyDeleteProbably the first... but what is the floor under the rug -- wood, tile or another rug? I would prefer something more practical for the coffee table -- the ottoman from the second (maybe with a tray), or a round glass top table (which may be more difficult to find...) I really like the mirror and chandelier added in the first image, too! I'm not necessarily a pink person -- I have more orange in my home, but it works in that design!
ReplyDeleteThey're both beautiful, but I would choose the first option. Love the color palette and the lamps are tdf!

Oh the first definitely! That rug is gorgeous beyond. I agree with Kerri about the ottoman in the second. It would be perfect.

Always the outcast.... number two! It just pops and I think it is fun.
ReplyDeleteI feel it too :)
DeleteOh my. Soooooo love the first one. Pink! Both are beautifully put together, but the pink wins for me!
ReplyDeleteWithout a doubt....#1
ReplyDeleteI love Kerry Steele's idea! Swap the coffee table for the ottoman in #2
I prefer #1!
ReplyDeleteLove them both, but I do like the 2nd rug better.
ReplyDeleteLove them both but you can probably already guess where my vote is going...#1 - feminine/girly glam all the way:)
ReplyDeleteboth are awesome, but i like #1 the best. i would def keep the rustic coffee table too because it keeps it from being too girly to me! i also really love the art above the sofa! great job.
ReplyDeletei agree. the upholstered ottoman dumbs it down too much if added to the first look :)
DeleteOh my gosh, I love them both!! Seriously can't decide....I think #1. Or maybe #2?...They both are fab; no wonder she can't make up her mind!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with the masses. Love the first one. Would love to have the first one!
ReplyDeleteone for the fall and one for the spring with just a few changes
ReplyDeleteps...can't decide because you're too good!
ReplyDeleteDang....I am not really a purple/pink girl but I am leaning towards that one...what is up with that?
ReplyDeleteI love both rooms!!!! But that rug in the first room is sooo gorgeous! I also love the mirror and painting in the first too! So I probably am leaning towards the first one. :-)
ReplyDeleteThey are both great, but the first one draws to me more!! Good luck and either one will look fabulous!

Crazy for the first one! Very nice job!!!
ReplyDeleteNumber 1!! And those curtains are fab!
ReplyDeleteNumber 1- I don't care for the rug in 2.
ReplyDeleteIt's a gorgeous room!
Great designs! I am loving the striped curtains and the over dyed rugs!
