Lonny Loving Take Two

Yesterday was just one of those days.  Have you had one recently?  I had mine.  World = 4, Bethany = 0.  It's certainly going to be OK because it just has to be, and I live to fight back tomorrow which always means it couldn't have been too bad.  My Mom has the best attitude about stuff like this and I strive to be more like her.  I hope to learn grace under fire. I admire strong people who don't complain and always see the bright side of things.  Not stoic for stoics sake, but people who handle things smoothly attributed solely to how they are chemically made and down to the way their hearts beat. Not something you can manufacture.  Some people just have grace.  I'm working on it...

But man, yesterday I just felt like I was bobbin' and weavin'.  I don't even like to mention a random bad day, but you know what, sometimes it begs to be released so you can just get past it. And I don't want to endorse negative sentiments on our blog, but I do always wanna keep it real.  It can't always just be pretty pictures (although stay tuned below).

Did you know the Swine Flu has made a resurgence?  My husband has it!  We found out when we took him to the hospital yesterday. He has some longstanding and pretty serious health issues, so something like this can really wipe him out, tsunami style.  A big thank you to my Mom for holding down the fort while we traveled to Charlottesville to see his team of doctors, and most importantly, for taking our beloved Wilma Sauce to the vet.  Poor girl has a whammy of a UTI!  I know... TMI, just keepin' it real.

On the topic of illnesses, our buddy Lisa Mende has double pneumonia, so please send good vibes her way!

As promised, I have to share another Lonny fave today.  This is one of the vignettes I mentioned yesterday that I made Mom print out for me.  Mostly so I could oogle over that moody painting of Le Tour Eiffel.  Man would I kill for something like that in my house.  OK, kill is a strong word.  Obviously I wouldn't kill.  But maybe I could paint something myself in that palette.  It's really got me.  And that headboard.  Another rave, another time.

What were your favorites from the August Lonny?  Are there any stylings or vignettes that you heart so much?

Have a great day.  I'm going to make mine great!

  11. This months Lonny is fabulous!!
I am so sorry to learn about all of this. It's not like you could do anything to help it. I saw on the news today that 1 in 100 people are getting the Swine flue. That seems a little high, but since they find me appetizing, I guess I and better stay inside, because it is bad down here in the south. And Wilma, I am so sorry. Get well, girl!
hang in there. Things will get better.
