Look what walked down our street and through my yard the other day. We were shocked and amazed. I got a picture right outside my office window like it was an everyday occurrence.
This brings to mind the peacock trend in decor. The color combinations are really out of this world, and what better queue from nature is there to develop a color palette?

This living room by Miles Redd is one of my favorites!
Are you over the literal peacock look, or still loving peacock colors?

Can you send that peacock my way? I would love it for my garden :-) Does it have an albino brother? Color might be better...
ReplyDeleteNancy, I used to work at the Smithsonian's Freer Gallery, and loved the Peacock Room. Have you
been?
Talk soon....xoxo, Loi
It would look so grand in your gardens! What would Panda and Mocha do? I've been to the Freer but I don't remember the peacock room! I will have to go again soon!
DeleteWow! I still love the peacock colors!
ReplyDeleteLove the peacock colors - bright turq is so fun!
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing, we have fox, racoon and skunks! I'm still loving the trend!
ReplyDeleteI love this look...and who would spend that on a dress?
ReplyDeleteNot over it yet, especially that gorgeous deep greens and peacock blues. So pretty!

ReplyDeleteIf you follow my blog you know that I am addicted to the work of Miles Redd, so I choose his room, but all of these are gorgeous. I'm with you on the wedding dress, and I think that it is tacky, and the white next to it much more beautiful, and no feathers were sacrificed! Peacocks are on of the most beautiful birds. I had a client that raised them, and they just wander around mindlessly. Love.
Happy Monday.

I love that Miles Redd room too but I am not a huge fan of purple and turquoise so the peacock look is not really me.
ReplyDeleteLove peacocks, love them in decor, love the colors!
ReplyDeleteWhat's the story with the one walking through your neighborhood though? where did he go? Where did he come from?
Hi Julie, I have NO idea where it came from or where it went. It was so spectacular though and SO unexpected!
DeleteLOVE these peacock colors and now I have decided to implement them into the downstairs bathroom! Also, PLEAASSE blow a siren or something down my way when you get another peacock down yonder! I will run down and capture him! Free of charge!
ReplyDeleteI think that colors that come from nature are classic, regardless of certain trends. Blue is always a favorite and always in style. Or maybe I'm just partial to it and blowing smoke!

I love every single one of those rooms! Peacock colors are so striking. And I'm so jealous that you had a peacock in your yard--although my dogs would lose their minds if one showed up in mine!
ReplyDeleteWhhaaaa?!? A peacock outside your house. Surely that's a sign of good luck. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful.
