Nancy Powell
Nancy Powell has a passion for interiors that she's been following for 45 years. Majoring in Art and
Education at James Madison University, she quickly put her skills to use as high-school art teacher
after graduation. While making her foray into the working world, she continued her silkscreen and
sculpture work at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA where she was discovered by a nationwide
home art and decor firm out of Atlanta. Her silkscreens were sold nationwide as part of their Fine Art
line. Through her work there she quickly uncovered her knack for interior design and has been
decorating ever since. In 2012, she and her daughter, Bethany, formed their design firm where Nancy
is the Chief Creator at Powell Brower Interiors. Nancy enjoys nature, animals, art and a ‘hands-on’
approach to interior design. She thrives on sharing her passion with others through residential and
commercial clients and networking with others. She lives in Manassas, VA with her husband, 2 dogs, 2
cats and a pony.
